The Countdown is on….

Friday, August 20th, 2010

Staff returned to the Richfield Residential Hall campus on Monday, August 16th and have spent the past week in training to ensure that they are fully prepared to give this year’s students the best care and support possible. They were so busy that no one even had time to take pictures for the website! Each staff is anxiously counting down the days until our students arrive for the 2010-2011 school year.  We can’t wait for you to get here! We are excited for you to meet the two newest members of our staff team: Racheal Miles and Jim Puzey. They bring a lot of energy and experience to our staff team. Take some time to get to know them in the staff section of our website!

Several students are already in the area and participating in school athletics. Jerethan Tsinniginnie will play in the Richfield Wildcats first football game tonight while Rochelle Curtis and Danielle Kay will cheer at the South Sevier Rams first football game which will also take place tonight.  Great job, kids! We are proud of you!

Brian Head Snow Boarding Trip

Tuesday, February 16th, 2010

On Monday, February 15th, the Honor Roll students traveled to Brian Head Ski Resort for a day of snow boarding. Mark Laws, said about the trip, “The trip was a success! When we arrived, the director was gathering students to start fitting them for boots and snow boards. Before we knew it, the students were gathered up and off to lessons from the instructor. The kids were a little bit hesitant at first, but, as soon as, they were shown the basics, they went right up the hill. The first trip was pretty hard for them, but they continued to go right back up the hill & hit it again. Our kids had a BLAST! They are an awesome group of kids and they were very grateful for this activity. It was awesome to see a real smile on all their faces.”

After a day of snow boarding, the students ate dinner at Wingers in Richfield!

The following students & staff participated: Nanabah Bizahaloni, Warren Brown, Dennisha Bradley, Ashley Clyde, Dedrick Hoschain, Holly Johnson, Shane Sanderson, Lucy Slick, Serida Slim, Fabeian Toledo, Ouida Taylor (staff), and Mark Laws (staff).
