On April 22nd Mr. Workman and Mrs. Nielson visited Tuba City Boarding School (TCBS) and Navajo Mountain Community School . It was reported that the eighth grade class at TCBS had outstanding test scores and the teachers bragged about what a great bunch of students they had this school year! At Navajo Mountain they were busy cleaning up their campus as part of Earth Day activities and enjoyed a Ice Cream Social after the clean up. Also, for lunch we enjoyed great Navajo Tacos made by the dorm staff. We thank the teachers and dorm staff at both schools for hosting our presentation!

Monday, April 26th, 2010Utah State Fair
Friday, September 25th, 2009Saturday, September 10th, the students traveled to Salt Lake City to attend the Utah State Fair where they could munch on corn dogs, cotton candy, candy apples, nachos, hot dogs, Gyros, fry bread, fried Twinkies, and many other delicious foods! After filling up, they rode rides that would make you want to “Ralph”, but that didn’t end the fun! They walked through exhibits and watched different forms of entertainment throughout the fair park.

Wednesday, May 13th, 2009Mutton Fry
Tuesday, April 28th, 2009Our annual, big mutton fry was held Saturday, April 25th. Students and staff joined in the butchering and cooking up of the mutton. We had alot of pictures of the butchering and not one picture of the meal. What gives? The quess is that everyone was so hungry for mutton and chowed down they forgot to take pictures, so sorry for not being able to post pictures of our tasty mutton dinner. Thanks to students and staff who helped make the mutton fry successful and, yes, fun!

Wednesday, April 15th, 2009The students still have many activities left on the calendar and one of the fun activities tonight was an old fashion game of marbles. Students didn’t seem too interested at first, but it wasn’t too long before they were starting to get competitive! One student commented, “it brought back old memories!” Aaaaaaa. With only a few weeks left, the students have many activities to look forward to: the campus clean up, the mutton fry, the boys and girls campout (separate campouts), and the trip to Lagoon.
