RRH Senior, Josh Harvey was honored in an awards assembly at the Sevier Valley Center on February 5th for his FIRST PLACE performance in the 18th Annual Snow College Richfield Campus Skills Olympics. In competition with hundreds of college students, Josh took first place in the graphic arts division with a drawing that he did in his commercial art class at Snow College Richfield. First place winners of this competition received a $500 tuition fee waiver that can be used at Snow College Richfield in the fall. Congratulations Josh, we are very proud of you!

Wednesday, February 13th, 2008The Second Quarter Honor Roll trip took place on Saturday, February 9th. Students spent the day at the Provo Town Center Mall and University Mall in Provo, UT. Students in attendance reported that this was a great day that was full of movies, shopping, fun, food, and lots of chocolate!
Marlaina Yazzie, Tylor Ketchum, Althea John, Nikki King, Kathleen Ahasteen, Kiana Woody, Denisha Bradley, Serena Lane Deidra Greymountain, Xavier Kaibetoney, and Fabien Toledo pause long enough for a picture before going into the next mall of the day!
Several Honor Roll students were not able to attend this activity due to ACT testing and other commitments. Those who were unable to attend this activity enjoyed an all you can meal at the new Rice King Buffet and a movie ticket earlier this week.

January Students of the Month
Thursday, February 7th, 2008Congratulations go out to Riva and Johnny for being selected as January’s Students of the Month! Only one boy and one girl are selected out of the entire studentbody for this honor each month. Staff take into consideration many factors when casting their vote each month. Winners of this honor get to have a nice dinner at a restaurant of their choice! Great job Riva and Johnny!
Riva Chief, daughter of Ricky and Sheila Chief, is a sophomore at South Sevier High School. She is from West Valley, Utah and always has a smile on her face and a kind word to say to everyone. Riva is a member of the RRH Student Council.
Johnny Aguilar of Kayenta, Arizona is a sophomore at Richfield High School, and is enjoying his first year at Richfield Residential Hall. Johnny has earned his nickname of, “Johnny Rocket” on the basketball court as he represents RRH in our Richfield City Recreation League basketball team. Johnny is the son of Jarelyn Aguilar of Kayenta, Az.

December Students of the Month
Thursday, February 7th, 2008Congratulations to Shaquira and Xavier for being selected as Richfield Residential Hall’s Students of the Month for December 2007! Your hard work and example are greatly appreciated by the staff of RRH.
Xavier Kaibetoney, is a freshman at Richfield High School. He is the son of Phillip and Genevieve Kaibetoney of Tuba City, Arizona. Staff say they appreciate his playful and respectful attitude.
South Sevier High School freshman, Shaquira Begay, is a native of Window Rock, Arizona and the daughter of Leslie Jensen. Shaquira is a member of the volleyball and basketball teams at SSHS, and she also had a role in the recent school production of High School Musical.
