Sterling Performance

On Thursday, March 15th, RRH Senior, Porscha Greymountain was selected as the Central Utah Sterling Scholar in World Languages. Porscha is a Senior at Richfield Residential Hall and attends Richfield High School where she is the Student Body Public Relations Officer, a member of the National Honor Society and the Hope Squad (student-led suicide prevention team). Porscha has been heavily involved in extra-curricular activities at Richfield Residential Hall, Richfield High School and throughout the community while she has been a student at RRH.

The winner of World Language is of the Reed People and born for the Salt People. She has been studying Spanish since the start of her education. Not only does she speak Spanish, but Navajo as well. For the past four years, she has served as the Spanish tutor at The Richfield Residential Hall and has received Most Outstanding Spanish Student award. She enjoys sharing her Navajo culture through song and dance at various community events. Throughout her high school career she has been involved in Student Council serving as Vice-President for 4-H, Junior Vice-President, and Student Body Public Relations. The winner is also a member of the Hope Squad and the National Honor Society at Richfield High School. This student has been awarded for her academics each year and holds a GPA of 3.9. The winner plans to continue her studies at The University of Utah next fall.

The winner in World Languages is: Porscha Greymountain From: Richfield High School. Porscha is the daughter of Buford Sr. and Elouise Greymountain of Green River, WY. She also has roots in Navajo Mountain and Shonto.

Our entire RRH family is so proud of all that Porscha has accomplished as a student here. Remember her name, because you will continue to see amazing things from her in the years to come! Porscha plans to study medicine and would like to return to the Navajo Nation to help her people.
