Jonathan Black
Hello there,
Well, my name Jonathan Black. Class of 1998. I went school at Richfield High……GO WILDCATS! During my time of being a Wildcat I played football, I wrestled and played baseball. But what really caught my attention was the trades department at “THE TECH!” I fell in love with the trade of welding there. It was just a trade that made me feel calm, free and the passion to keep as a career. After leaving high school, I jumped into the trade of an ironworker. I went to school in Chicago, IL. Joined the Ironworkers Union in Phoenix, AZ. After several good jobs I felt it wasn’t enough, so i continued on with schooling. I went back to school in 2004 for HIGH PRESSURE PIPE AND TUBE at Arizona Welding Institute. There I finalized my commitment to become a Union Boilermaker. i kept driving myself to my limits and push myself to stay at the top of my limits. Drove coast to coast for work. Now my life and family reside in Belleville, IL, just outside the city limits of St. Louis, MO.
I am ever so greatful the education that was given to me and the understanding of life itself from RRH. I sometime think back when I freshman and see other motivational speakers and tell us about their experiences. I didn’t think I would come this far. With the aid of this program, it gave me a good foundation of life and how to live. THANK YOU FOR LEADING ME IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION. I WOULDN’T KNOW WHAT OR WHERE I WOULD BE TODAY.
