Bryce Canyon

Richfield Residential Hall students live in one of the most beautiful parts of the country.  We are surrounded by several gorgeous national parks. On Saturday, October 9th RRH students traveled to nearby Bryce Canyon National Park for a day of hiking, good food, beautiful scenery and great friends.

Ms. Herrera, a.k.a. “Grandma,” wrote this about the trip: “We left right on schedule at 7:30am. The students were ready to go and even helped the kitchen staff load up all of the food; it was done in no time flat! It was awesome how the students helped in getting us on the road as scheduled. A few students chose to stay and help the kitchen staff make fry bread and prepare lunch while the rest of us hiked. THE PLACE IS SO BEAUTIFUL, SO WAS THE WEATHER! A lot of students made comments that they would like to come back again in the future. The food was great. Everyone ate until they couldn’t eat another bite: Navajo Burger and Navajo Hot Dog with salad and drinks.”

Students and staff enjoyed a gorgeous hike on the world famous, Navajo Loop that runs from Sunrise Point to Sunset Point. You will see from the pictures that Kiana took just how gorgeous (and steep) this hike was. Thanks to all of the students who made the trip so much fun, the kitchen staff for the amazing meal, and Grandma, Georgie, Racheal, Jim, and Mark for providing the required supervision (and surviving the hike)!
