Student of the Month: MAY

Congratulations to our Students of the Month for May 2007! Serena Lane and Jordan Yazzie maintained their focus and positive attitude to the end of the school year to become the final students recognized with this honor for the 2006-2007 academic year! Great job!

Serena Lane, daughter of Selina Slim, Tonalea, AZ, is a Freshman at South Sevier High School. Serena has had a very solid academic performance throughout the year, and is very enthusiastic about Richfield Residential Hall. “I like everything about it here, the activities, the friends, the extra education,” says Serena. Serena mentioned how much she enjoys all of the trips we take together and all of the great friends that she has made this year. In Serena’s words, “This has been a kick-butt year!” Congratulations, Serena! Have a great summer!

Jordan Yazzie, also a South Sevier Ram, is a Sophomore from Kayenta, AZ., and is the son of Marian Yazzie. The staff at RRH indicate that they enjoy Jordan’s positive attitude and work ethic. Jordan has also done well academically this year, and he also did very well in the awards program. Jordan earned a citizenship award for most improved student in the Boy’s Wing. Great job, Jordan!
