Mexican Fiesta: Pinata Bust 2012

On September 24, 2012 we had a Mexican Fiesta which started out with a dinner of burritos, tamales, nachos, and ice cream.  Students then went outside to watch the girls and boys hit the piñata.  The girls went first which was led by Cheyenne Billie who was blind folded and started swinging like crazy, but she did not break the piñata.  Several girls followed her lead until Shania George broke it.  All the girls dove for the candy following Shania’s hit!

 Next the boys went up.  Zachary Welch started if off but Thompson Yazzie who was controlling the rope, pulled the piñata high so he missed it.  On the second time, Zach hit the piñata, but did not break it.  It took several boys  to hit the piñata before Tyler Neztsosie broke it and candy flew everywhere.  It didn’t take long until it was all gone.
