Native Club Luncheon Social
Late morning on Saturday, September 29th,the Native Club held it’s Kick-Off for the year. The Native Club is a brand new program this year that was organized to help students express and re-connect with their proud culture.
Native Club members helped out with cooking potatoes and spam and they also made tortillas for their luncheon social. Advisor, Racheal Miles, had 27 students sign up for Native Club and had 35 students show up for the meeting. The majority of the students came and helped with the cooking, the setting up, and the clean up.
After the luncheon, students sat down and discussed upcoming events for the club. The main focus for the month of October circulates around the Neighborhood Block Party which will take place in mid-October.
