New Board
Richfield Residential Hall received a new Governing Board following an Inauguration Ceremony on January 10th, 2013 in Tuba City, Arizona. The new board took the oath of office and received guidance and instruction from key political leaders, including Navajo Nation President, Ben Shelly. While most boards celebrated the event with a nice luncheon, our board went right to work; holding their first Governing Board Meeting. We are excited to have such committed leaders representing our students, their families and our program.
The new Governing Board is comprised of three veteran members who are serving a second term with RRH: Denis Tsosie (Lechee), President; Bill Cly (At Large), Vice President; Nora Tallman (Tuba City) Secretary. A new addition to the team, but no stranger to the program is RRH Alumni, Elroy Watson (Shonto/Oljato), who is serving in the capacity of Board Member. While new to our team, Mr. Watson brings a great deal of experience to the team. He is an educator by trade and is no stranger to public service, having served on multiple boards in the past. Watch for him to be added to the staff page soon.
We are excited to move forward in advancing academic and social growth opportunities for our young people and are looking forward to all that our new governing board will add to the team.
