Labor Day Softball Tournament

For the Labor Day holiday all students were sent to the public park for our 2nd annual softball tournament.  We finally got a break on the weather.  It was a hot sunny day with no wind which was perfect for some slow pitch softball.  We had a total of 34 students participate.  We split the students up into 4 teams.  Each team played a least two innings.  Since we were playing with tennisballs the games scores were high.  All games were back and forth.  Team 2 who’s roster included Chelsey, Chantz, Avery, Billie, Cameron, Jenaye, Tristenn N, Kyler and Terrel edged out win in the final game against Team 3 for the Championship.

Between games we took a break for lunch at the park.  Our great kitchen staff prepared sandwiches before the and the girls KP and staff Marlene distributed food to all students.  There was plenty of extra food for students to have second helpings.

All in all the activity was a success.  If students didn’t end up playing they enjoyed some good softball to watch and enjoy the atmosphere at the park.
