Annual Student Family Group Program

The annual Student Family Group program took place on December 16, 2012.  Students and their sponsors worked hard to prepare for the program.  In addition, the group was treated to Christmas songs by a local violin talent group: Hafen Music Studios.

Sophomores, Lorenda Burns and Dharshina Arizona, read the program and introduced each group.  The first group up to perform was the senior class who came up dressed in dear antlers.  They sang a rendition of “Grandma Got Ran Over By a Reindeer.”  After, the Freshman class told a traditional Christmas story that took a different spin on the 12 days of Christmas.  Following the Freshman, The Junior class performed a staged number of “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer complete with Santa Claus himself (aka Chantz Harvey).  The Sophmore class got up and sang Frosty the Snow man and were followed by the seniors who chose students within the student body to play a dress-up /elf makeup game.  Ashley Kaye, Dharshina Arizona, and Ritchie Kaibetoney were chosen to be the elves.

Last up, the Freshman class performed a musical number of Silent Night.  The performances ended with Hafen Music Studios.  At the end, students were served ice-cream treats from Richfield Residential Hall and candy canes donated by a local citizen.

Overall, everyone did a great job and the performances were fun to watch!
