Cooking Up Some Big Awards!
Richfield Residential Hall prides itself on being a place of growth for all. Students and staff alike continually challenge themselves to be the best that they can be, and to learn from every experience. Richfield Residential Hall cook, Dorothy “Dorie” Martin exemplifies personal growth. Proving that it is never too late to learn, Dorie enrolled in Snow College’s Culinary Arts Program this fall. With no prior college experience, Dorie has carried a full course load (16 semester hours +) in addition to her duties in the kitchen. This knowledge is being shared with other members of the kitchen staff, and the new skills are proving to be an asset to the students and staff of RRH. Not one to just coast through things, Dorie has cooked up some major awards in the process.
Dorie recently earned 3rd Honors in the Culinary Arts Division of the annual Snow College Skills Olympics. Dorie also made the Dean’s List for her academic achievement! Congratulations, Dorie! You are an outstanding example to the students and staff of Richfield Residential Hall. We are so proud of all that you are doing!
