Frybread and New Friends

On Thursday, November 1st, members of the RRH Student Council shared our culture with members and families of a local Cub Scout Pack. Candice Bekay, Deidra Greymountain, and Vanessa Clark volunteered to spend a couple of hours patiently teaching the Cub Scouts and their families how to make traditional Navajo Frybread. Of course, everyone loved the frybread, and the kids enjoyed getting to make their own — even though most of them ended up looking more like Zorro masks or donuts than frybread! Many of the kids and parents remarked on how easy our girls made it look! They did a fantastic job representing our student-body and the Navajo Nation in this activity. Several scouts and families remarked that it was the best meeting they had been to. Great job ladies!
