Getting Acquainted Games

On August 21, 2012 Richfield Residential Hall staff Marlene Stewart and Georgiana Craig welcomed former and new students to the dorm.  They initiated students with a lot of fun games to make each student feel that he or she is a very important part of the program.  First, Georgie Craig passed around a ball and each student introduced themselves as they caught the ball.  Some students talked about themselves and their clans.  Next, we played the Bloomer Game in which all students formed a circle and passed a multiple layer wrapped present.  When the music stopped, the person holding the present unwrapped a layer of paper.  This process would continue until the last person unwrapped the present.  After, it was revealed that a beautiful blooming flower was inside instead of an old fashioned bloomer that females used to wear in the olden days.  Last but not least, students played red rover.  The students had a great time.  Treats were passed out at the end of the activities.
