May Students of the Month (2008)

It seems like at the end of every school year, many students start to slack off. This is definitely not the case at Richfield Residential Hall. Selecting the students of the month for May proved to be one of the toughest student of the month decisions of the year. In fact, it was a perfect tie on the girls side! Congratulations to Clarenda, Candice, and Greg for being selected as Students of the Month for May 2008!

Clarenda Begaye is a Senior at South Sevier High School, and has attended Richfield Residential Hall since her Sophomore year. Clarenda has worked hard to be on track for graduation this year and has led the way in our on-site Navajo Language class. Clarenda was offered a scholarship to attend Salt Lake Community College, where she plans to continue her education this fall. Clarenda is the daughter of Marlinda Curley of Tonalea, AZ.

Candice Bekay is a Senior at Richfield High School, and has also attended Richfield Residential Hall since her Sophomore year. She served as the RRH Studentbody President for the 2007 – 2008 school year, where she did an awesome job planning and carrying out fun activities for all of our students. Candice has been selected as an Ambassador for Snow College where she received a scholarship and plans to continue her education next year. Candice is the daughter of Lorenzo and Daisy Bekay of Kaibeto, AZ.

Gregory Clyde is a Sophomore at South Sevier High School and he is finishing his second full year at Richfield Residential Hall. Greg is an amazing artist. Whether it is a pencil, pen, wood, clay, or a guitar, it seems Greg can make it do things that no one else can. He is a great student and respectful young man who is destined to do great things! Just remember, Greg, we get a signed copy of your first cd or major painting! Greg is the son of Sheryl Yellowhorse of Kayenta, AZ.
