Community Talent Show Night

The Paiute Tribe hosted Family Community Night at the Koosharem Band Building in

Richfield on October 2nd.  The event featured a talent show, dinner, and poster

display. Each student in attendance participated somehow by submitting a poster for the

display or a drawing for the talent show. Other students presented a talent. Maurenna Billie

and Tamara Butler sang; Ethan Holiday played the electric guitar;  Shania George, Calsie

Sockyma, and Leesha King presented poems they had written, and Elijah Stanley displayed his

talent of braiding bracelets, lanyards, and rope.

Following the talent show, the students enjoyed taco salad and fruit. “It was a fun night,” said

Tamara Butler.

Calsie Sockyma agreed, “We should do this more often!”

“…and the food was good,” added Elijah Stanley.
