Distance Education May Continue
As the uncertainty and fear related to the COVID-19 pandemic sweep across the world, we hope you are all finding moments of joy as you choose to look for them. I have heard wonderful stories of families spending time learning and playing together. I am hopeful that as this passes and we return to a sense of normalcy, we will all be able to look back at this time with fondness because of the choices we made.
As you know, this coming Friday (March 27th) will mark the end of the 2nd week of the statewide “soft closure.” The plan will be re-evaluated at that point. Given the way things are going, we should plan for this period of distance learning to continue for awhile longer as we all work together to slow the spread of this virus. It is important for RRH students to remain focused on school work as each day contributes to second semester grades. Students, please check in with each teacher each day and stay current on assignments. Parents, please encourage your students continue to practice good study habits and time management.
Please see the latest communication from Sevier School District, where Superintendent Douglas suggests there is a possibility of an extension of the distance learning we are all doing now.
Each of our students left here in good academic standing and we are going to do all we can to ensure they stay that way. Our staff are working hard to contact each student twice per week to offer encouragement and support. Please let our staff know if there are things we can do to help you to be successful.
We will continue to push updates through Remind and this website. Thank you for your continued support. We will all get through this together!
