Pahvant Rendezvouz

Richfield Residential Hall cultural activities representative, Racheal Miles, received a call from Pahvant Elementary school requesting a cultural presentation in support of their annual Rendezvouz. This is a capstone event following the students learning about critical elements of the history of our area.

RRH students Chantel Begay, Shalice Begaye, Michelle Benally, Wyatt Wille and Maureena Billie volunteered for the opportunity to share our culture with these elementary school students. Another student, Molly Byjoe, shared a brief description, sharing the cultural significance  of each event before it was performed by our students.

Chantel, Shalice and Michelle started the presentation by doing a basket dance. They were followed by Maureena’s jingle dance. The performance was capped off as Wyatt sang a song in Navajo. It was an awesome program!
