Salt Lake City Native Leadership Conference 2012

On Wednesday, October 3rd, a group of Richfield Residential Hall select students were chosen to participate in a Native American Leadership conference held in Salt Lake City, Utah.  Students were selected based on their academic standing in which all students were passing their classes.  The bus left Richfield Residential Hall early @ 5:45am and arrived in Salt Lake City by 8am.  At the conference, students participated in various workshops as well as listened to lectures which addressed Native American culture and academic achievement.  Students received information regarding scholarships and higher education.  The event ended with students listening to a keynote speech and participating in conference wide skit and group activity.  Richfield Residential Hall students arrived back at the dormitory by 5:30pm full of information and leadership aspirations.
